Education after Allegheny
I took a few graduate courses while working at Pitt. I finished my masters in counseling psychology at Seton Hall in New Jersey.
I was briefly married in the early ‘70s. I moved to Chicago in 1980 and met my husband, Paul, in 1982. We’ve been married since 1983.
Where I’ve lived
I moved to NYC after college with Isabelle Crabb, Sandra Millard and Cyndee Ball. We had a wonderful apartment on E 72nd Street. I lived in Pittsburgh from 1970 to 1973, New Jersey from 1973 to 1980, and then moved to Chicago in 1980 where I’ve been ever since.
In NYC, I spent 3 years working at National Dairy Products Corporation, which is now Heinz Kraft. I then worked in college admissions at Pitt and Drew University in Madison, NJ. From there I moved to Chicago and worked for GATX Corporation in HR/Compensation for 11 years. I’m currently in my 20th year at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. I work 2-3 days a week during the academic year in the Office of Admissions and Student Aid.
My children / grandchildren
I have one son, Greg, who just turned 30. I also have a stepdaughter, Lisa, who lives in the Chicago area with her 3 kids, and a stepson, Todd, who has 2 kids and lives in Phoenix.
Current activities / hobbies
I’m on the board of Robert Morris University – Illinois, co-chair of the HR committee of my church, and continue with music by playing piano in church and accompanying a local school chorus. Paul and I are sports fans – mostly Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs. Yes, THIS WAS THE YEAR! We go to the theater, Lyric Opera and the Chicago Symphony as often as we can. Our son plays in a rock band that’s popular in Chicago and we are senior groupies. We’ll follow them to Toronto this spring. And we’ve been doing Blue Apron for 6 months, Jim Zeeb!
